Summer Leadership Program
Miss Latina Tampa is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women through leadership development, cultural pride, community service, and personal growth opportunities. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of Latina leaders by strengthening confidence, positive self-image, education, and community involvement while helping participants develop the skills needed to achieve their academic, personal, and future goals

- Education on Bullying Prevention, Healthy Relationships & Respect

- Mentorship, Positive Peer Support & Community Connection
All participants accepted into the Summer Leadership Program will also be able to continue participating in our “Heritage & Traditions Through Latino Youth in Tampa” community experience during Hispanic Heritage Month, with no additional program fees.

Programming Schedule Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

- The program scholarship will cover
– Official program T-shirt
– Black leggings
– Program tote bag⚠️ Participants are responsible for purchasing their required shoes. An approved shoe link will be provided after acceptance into the program
- Lunch Guidelines
Participants must bring a healthy lunch daily. Recommended items include:
– Sandwich
– Water
– Fruit or healthy snacks
- ⚠️ Please note:
– No microwaves are available on campus
– Outside food deliveries are not permitted
– Participants may not leave campus during program hours
– Parents/guardians may not remain on campus during the program and should only drop off and pick up participants at designated times
Scholarship Program Requirements
This scholarship opportunity is intended for Latin American girls ages 10–16 in Hillsborough County who demonstrate commitment, responsibility, and a genuine interest in personal growth, leadership, and participation in a structured summer program.
Please apply only if your daughter is able and willing to fully participate. Scholarship opportunities are limited, and declining participation after acceptance may prevent another girl from benefiting from this opportunity.
Eligibility & Program Requirements
- Must be a Latin American girl aged 10–16 who is currently attending a school in Hillsborough County
- Parent/guardian participation is required during the application and interview process
- Must complete registration and attend an interview (in person or via Zoom)
- Priority may be given to families demonstrating financial need
- Participants must commit to full attendance, active participation, and all required program hours throughout the program
- Daily drop-off and pick-up must be completed on time by the parent/guardian
- Parents/guardians must support all program expectations, policies, dress requirements, and sign all required waivers and forms before June 3, 2026
- Participants must demonstrate respectful behavior, responsibility, positive teamwork, and willingness to engage positively with others
Scholarship Assistance
Limited scholarship opportunities are available for eligible families based on financial need, commitment, attendance, and program availability. Scholarship applications must be completed honestly and accurately. Submitted information may be verified during the application review process.
This program is intended for girls interested in leadership, mentorship, teamwork, personal growth, literacy, arts, and community engagement who are committed to fully participating in the complete summer experience.
